In this situation, having a dirty house is a good thing. We are hosting the Clean My House! contest and searching for the dirtiest room in the Lowcountry. The winner will get a free house cleaning and a Castle Keepers prize pack.

You’re invited to nominate a friend, family member, co-worker or anyone you think has the dirtiest room or spot in their house. Self-nominations are also welcome.

Here’s how it works: Simply submit a photo of a dirty room or area of your house, such as the bathroom sink, shower or a dirty refrigerator. Include a brief nomination with your photo about why the person being nominated deserves a free house cleaning. E-mail nominations and photos to contest@castle-keepers.com.

Submission deadline is Monday, Aug. 31. Residents of Berkeley, Charleston and Dorchester counties, South Carolina, are eligible to enter and win.

“We have absolutely seen some dirty rooms in this business, so we thought it would be fun for the public to offer up their dirty rooms and turn it into a contest,” says Janice Stewart, co-owner of Castle Keepers. “I don’t know anyone who wouldn’t want a free house cleaning, so here’s the chance to turn that embarrassingly dirty room in your house into a benefit.”

Clean My House! Contest Official Rules

· Submit a photo of a dirty room or area of your house (bathroom sink or shower, dirty refrigerator, etc.). Photos should have a resolution of no more than 200 dpi and should clearly show the dirt, grime and general yuckiness.

· Write a brief (short paragraph) nomination to accompany your photo about why the person being nominated deserves a free house cleaning.

· Nominations should include name, phone number, e-mail address, mailing address.

· E-mail your nomination and photo to contest@castle-keepers.com.

· Submission deadline is midnight Monday, Aug. 31. Entries received after the deadline will not be considered.

· Residents of Berkeley, Charleston and Dorchester counties in South Carolina are eligible to enter and win. Employees and family members of Castle Keepers are not eligible to enter.

· The prize is one free house cleaning from Castle Keepers and a Castle Keepers prize pack.

· Photos and nominations are the property of Castle Keepers and may be used for promotional materials, both printed and digital.

The free house cleaning will not exceed five hours. Castle Keepers reserves the right to refuse to clean any home that is potentially hazardous or poses a health issue to company associates.
